Set
up by the
Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan,
an autonomous body formed by the Ministry of Human Resource
Development, Government of India, New Delhi. Kendriya Vidyalaya,
Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel National Police Academy, Shivarampally,
Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, INDIA is established in year 1983 as a Civil
sector School.
It was declared as a Model School in the year 1998-99. By
the academic year 2002-2003, the Vidyalaya witnessed a phenomenal
growth with four sections each from classes I to VIII ; three
sections each from classes IX & X and Commerce stream is offered at +2 level.
It is spread in a sprawling
campus with excellent infrastructure and at present has about 1650 students on rolls with an effective staff strength of
about 62.

The Kendriya
Vidyalayas have a four - fold mission, viz.,
1. To cater to
the educational needs of children of transferable Central
Government including
Defense and Para-military personnel by
providing a common programme of
education ;
2. To
pursue excellence and set the pace in the field of school
education;
3. To
initiate and promote experimentation and innovations in
education in
collaboration with other bodies like the Central Board
of Secondary
Education (CBSE) and the
National
Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) etc.
and
4.
To develop the spirit of national integration and create a
sense of
"Indian ness"
among children.
